Well Being

Each of us might need, at a point in time, to be heard in its pain, to share a tough experience or doubts, to find some help and support in order to internalize a difficult situation, to digest a traumatism, to learn how to manage stress or even to go beyong negative feelings like depression or loss of self esteem. A therapy aims at offering each individual a protected space where to speak, as an individual or as a couple. Various approaches might be used like the « classical » psychoterapy, EMDR or heart rate variability.

The psychotherapy focused on the individual follows a process in which what has been lived in the past, feelings and emotions are key. The relationship between the psychologist and the individual is fundamental and creates the needed trust to allow the dynamic towards a positive change and a better being state.

The EMDR approach (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) focus on desensitizing the emotion charge coming from past tough experiences, still sticking in memory. It allows the brain to reprocess the information and those difficult experiences. This technique is close to what happens during a dream (REM phase) during which very fast eye movements help reprocessing the unconsciousness. During an EMDR session, the past event on which we focus will be « re-worked » and specifically by using eye movements stimulation

Heart rate variability is a simple and powerful tool mostly used for stress management. It allows to control the heart rythm via specific way of breathing. When the heart beats in sync then body physiology and emotions are positively re-equilibrated as well as key body functions e.g. health, intellect, emotion. Life quality is then significantly improved.

Support to adoption

The adoptive filiation is a full and whole but also specific filiation. On one hand, the children having lived the early abandonment, the institutionalization in orphanages and biological deficiencies can be weakened by this difficult life path. On the other hand, the progress of the couples towards the adoptive parenthood is often difficult and always peculiar.

This way, families can feel the necessity of consulting to avoid stressing the mutual fragilities and allowing each to find his/her right place in the respect of his/her personality and of his/her personal background.

The psychological frame allows an intervention on all the questions linked to the progress towards this filiation, to the specificities of the child history, and to the difficulties such as the attachment disorders, the ownership of the filial link, the conflicts of loyalty, the appropriation of its personal history, the infertility, the pregnancy, the relation parents – children, the baby blues, etc. …
